1. Aromatherapy Recipes
This weekend’s phenomenal class with the aromatherapist, herbalist and author Mindy Green has rejuvenated and refreshed our appreciation for essential oils! We would love to share a few of our favorite recipes with you and if you have any you would like to share, please do! *Energizing Blends (for those days when it’s tough to get going or you just need an extra boost of energy) -Energy Blend 1: 4 Drops Grapefruit, 4 Drops Basil, 2 Drops Cypress  -Energy Blend 2: 6 Drops Bergamot, 4 Drops Rosemary  *Mood Balancing/Calming/Stress Reducing Blends -Irritability Reducing: 4 Drops Lavender, 4 Drops Australian Sandalwood, 2 Drops Neroli -Letting Go: 6 Drops Lavender, 2 Drops Lemon, 1 Drop Clary Sage, 1 Drop Vetiver  -Fear of Flying (calms the mind and heart): 10 Drops Frankincense, 5 Drops Sweet Orange  -Balancing Blend: 4 Drops Lemon, 2 Drops Sandalwood, 2 Drops Vetiver, 2 Drops Lavender, 7 Drops Spikenard *Physical Symptoms -Respiratory Help Blend (can be used in carrier oil as a vapor rub or use a drop or two at a time for a congestion relieving steam): 4 drops Eucalyptus, 3 Drops Thyme linalool, 1 Drop Oregano, 4 Drops Rosemary, 2 Drops Pine, 1 Drop Sweet Lavender  -Allergies: 2 Drops Laurel,4 Drops Eucalyptus, 2 Drops Siberian Fir, 2 Drops Ravintsara (You can use this blend in a blank inhaler or put a couple drops on a cotton ball place under your nostrils) -Digestive Support (Dilute this into 2 oz of carrier oil or massage cream and rub on the belly in a clockwise motion before each meal and before bed): 3 Drops Cardamom, 5 Drops Sweet Orange, 3 Drops Roman Chamomile, 1 Drop Bergamot **Cautions: Unless stated otherwise, these blends are all intended to be put in 1 oz of carrier oil or cream at a 2% dilution rate. Be aware that the citrus oils (lemon, grapefruit, orange, bergamot) can cause photo-sensitivity.
